Amy Rivard

"Barenaked Canadian Lady"

amyrivard

Amy Rivard makes her NYC cabaret debut in "Barenaked Canadian Lady",  directed
by Lina Koutrakos and with musical direction by Ross Patterson. If there is one thing Canadians are known for, it's telling the truth and in Barenaked Canadian Lady, Amy promises to tell you the truth about how she got here, how she got there, how she doesn't want to go back there again and and how she became the only North American
to ever perform with Celtic Woman.  With songs by Annie Lennox, Elvis Costello and a few of her musical theatre favourites(yes, Canadians spell favourite with a u!) this is an evening not to be missed.

Amy Rivard  has spent the majority of her career traveling and on the road. She’s toured in shows such as Riverdance, Camelot, the Roy Orbison Story (with Roy’s younger brother Sam Orbison) and most recently Celtic Woman. Amy is the only North American performer to have performed with Celtic Woman and can be seen in their “Songs from the Heart” DVD on PBS which recently debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard DVD Chart.  Most  recently, Amy’s youtube series, “What’s Up Canuck?” won a nationwide contest sponsored by the Hudson’s Bay Company in Canada and Amy won a trip to the Olympics and the Gold Medal Men’s Hockey Game. Amy has performed the national anthems for over 132,000 people at NASCAR and at Madison Square Gardens for the NY Rangers.  Additionally, she also keeps busy with TV/film work and recently starred in Planting Vines, which is due to hit the festival circuit later this year.
